We're so excited to offer for the first time for the 24-25 school year, a brand new BIRTHDAY ROCK available for rental to celebrate your student's special day!

We will now have two rocks at the school, one for school use only and a new BIRTHDAY ROCK located directly in the front drive at the crosswalk to the front doors.

WHES BIRTHDAY ROCK

This is a new addition for us, so please be patient as we begin this process.  To start, we are doing reservations for August, September and October.  Once we have the system up and going, we will add consecutive months.  We will send information in the weekly update as months are added.

Please see the information and policies below and use the links at the bottom to reserve and pay for your rock rental.

All funds from rentals will go towards covering our licensing fees to host our family movie nights!

We'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to SiteOne Landscape Supply of Mooresville for donating and delivering our Birthday Rock!

We can't wait to see all the birthday celebrations this school year!

BIRTHDAY ROCK POLICIES

The rock rental is available for a 24 hour period. Each rental slot runs 4pm the previous day to 4pm the day of your rental. For example, if you rent the rock for a TUESDAY, you may paint the rock beginning at 4pm on MONDAY. If you have a Monday rental, you may paint at any time on the Saturday or Sunday before, all other rental dates begin at 4pm the day before

In order to allow plenty of birthday celebrations for the students at WHES, the rental period is 24 hours. If you would like to reserve and pay for 2 consecutive days, you may. Please limit to 2 days to allow for others to have available dates.  Rental fee is $10 per 24 hour period.

Reserve the rock using the Sign Up Genius and then pay via CheddarUp. If payment is not received within 24 hours of reservation, the date will be released.

The intention is for this rock to be used solely for student birthday celebrations.

No supplies are provided. You must supply your own paint, brushes, drop cloths and clean-up materials.

Please make sure you are painting the rock that has a sign stating BIRTHDAY ROCK beside it. We have 2 rocks and the other is for school use only. The BIRTHDAY ROCK is located directly in front of the front doors of WHES at the crosswalk. If you are hiring a painter, it is your responsibility to make sure they paint the correct rock. There is a $50 fine for painting the incorrect rock as we will have to purchase materials to paint over. Please see the photo on the Birthday Rock page of our website to confirm location.

No profanity, offensive or controversial content is allowed. Obscene or profane words or symbols, derogatory, offensive or bullying messages are NOT permitted and will be removed immediately. In accordance with the school's nonpartisan policy, no political messages will be permitted. More specifically, messages should not advocate for particular ideologies, policies, or political parties, whether in the school community, locally, or nationally. WHES administration and PTO reserves the right to paint over anything that does not meet these guidelines without notice.

Please take care of the grounds and plants around the rock. Use a drop cloth or cardboard if needed to protect the surrounding mulch and garden area.

Only the rock can be painted, please do not paint the sidewalk, front drive or any other areas.

Please clean up and remove all materials and trash when you have finished painting.

There will be a fine required for any clean up or paint removal in unapproved areas.

Painting is not allowed during morning or afternoon carlines.

WHES PTO is not responsible if the rock gets painted over by someone who has not reserved the rock. We trust that all painters will use the proper rental procedure.

If rain or precipitation prevents you from being able to paint the rock, you may reserve the rock for a different available date without an additional rental fee.  Please email us at woodlandheightspto@gmail.com to reschedule due to weather.
